Chiefs offense rain dance on Seahawks defense!
Where did the Seahawks good defense go!
Seattle's defense against K.C. was garbage! K.C. quarterback [Damon Huard] was basically playing on one leg[bad groin]. Seattle defense did not take advantage of Huard's bad groin. Instead the Seahawks let running -back Larry Johnson, and oid fossil wide-out Eddie Kennison have career days against them. Seattle's non-effort tackeling [rapping-up] was as bad as Mili Vanilis singing career. Head Coach Mike Holmgren may have to make a move at the corner-back possition? Marcus Tru-Burnt is getting beat every week! This week Tru-Burnt got beat by a old tired wide-out on Kansas City Eddie Kennison for [6] catches and [134yds].
The Seahawks run defense allowed Kanasas City running-back Larry Johnson to do whatever he wanted [39-155yds]. 155yds by Johnson kept the clock,and chains moving for Kansas City. Seahawks defensive front four put no pressure on the one- legged Damon Huard. It was unfortunate because Seattle's Quarterback Seneca Wallace great starting debut [3 touchdown passes] got overcasted by a Seahawks lack of effort on defense. You knew Wallace was not going be perfect. Wallace had some bad throws [2 int], but you would expect that from a player making their first career start.
Seattle's running game has to improve! Running -backs Morris and Strong have to, [1] pass block better, [2] catch the ball when its thrown to them, and at least get 3 yards a pop when they get a carry. 2nd and 7 looks alot better than 2nd and 11, or 3rd and 15.
Seattle's offensive line was a little better, but still there having problems with [false starts]. Simms should start against the Raiders at left guard. Chris Spencer is still having problems at the left guard position. Guard by committee will not work in this system with Hasselback out for at least two more weeks, and Alexander for at least one more week. Seahawks' offense proved against the Chiefs that they can still move the football down the field and score even without there dynamic dueo [Hasselback and Alexander]. Seattle's offensive line will have their hands full this Monday night with the Oakland Raiders coming to town. Pass protection on quarterback Seneca Wallace will be key against the Raiders. Wallace will be Seattle's best running back on the field. Wallace has to tuck the ball and run when there is nobody open to throw too.
Seattle's defense cannot let the Raiders Quarterback Andrew Walters have any kind of comfort zone. Raiders wide-outs Randy Moss, and now activated Jerry Porter will be licking there chops watching film on the Seahawks secondary. Raiders running-backs Lamont Jordan, and Justin Fargus have to be stopped! The Oakland Raiders have a little swagger after beating the Steelers. If the Seahawks defense plays like they did against Kansas City, there will be a lot of players on the Oakland Raiders offense that are going to have season highs.
Keys to Raiders Game:
Seahawks need to send the Oakland Raiders and the Black Hole back to the Eastbay with a 12th man Loss!
- No pressure on the Quarterback;
- No stopping the run, and;
- No stopping the pass
..........sets-up disaster!
