The Hawks must beat the Cheese Bay Packers!

This Monday night the Seahawks must show Brett Farve and the Green Bay Packers that they are for-real! For-real by not letting the Packers stay in the game. If the Seahawks let Green Bay hang around into the fourth quarter, we could see Brett Farve the [Gunslinger] try to squeeze out a victory for the Packers. On offense Seattle must show that they can run the football with Shaun Alexander and Matt Hasselback back after missing four weeks with a knee sprain. The Hawks offensive line must protect Matt Hasselback. If they don't Hasselback could be back on the injured list as quick as he came off. Seattle’s O-line has had problems all year trying to play as a cohesive unit. False starts, holdings, and left guard by committee. Running the football effective against the Packers will help Matt Hasselback with the play-action pass.

If the Hawks do not run football well [positive yards], you could see a lot of three and outs from the Hawks. The hawks on offense must try too use the clock [have long drives]. That will help limit the former MVP and Future Hall of Famer Brett Farve extra opportunities. On defense Seattle must not only stop the run, but the Hawks’ defensive front four must put pressure on Brett Farve. Penetration will disrupt Farve’s timing throwing the football. The Seahawks secondary must not let Packer wide-out Donald Driver [58-813yds-4td.] have a field-day against them catching the football.

Seahawks defensive back Marcus Tru-Burnt and Kelly Herndon will have their hands full against Driver and Brett Farve's shot-gun riffle arm.

Brett Farve is going to retire at the end of season and would like to leave Quest field with a victory over his former coach Seahawks' Mike Holmgren.
This Monday from 5:30p.m to 9:00 pm the Seahawks defense hopefully will make Brett Farve think he should have retired before the season started this year.

Is Jerramy Stevens a Loser?

Hawks beat the Raiders 16-0, but is Jerramy Stevens a loser? Even though the Seattle Seahawks beat the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football 16-0, the game ended with a bad taste. That bad taste was Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens, who had no right to be kneed in the groin by Raiders defensive lineman Tyler Brayton, causing Brayton to be ejected minutes before the game ended. Stevens had received a 15 yard personal foul penalty called against him earlier because he decided to Jaw Jack [taunt], and mini head butt Raider defensive back Schweigert in the first half. A few plays later, after the 15 yard penalty, Stevens dropped a sure touchdown thrown by Quarterback Seneca Wallace.

“Under-achieves, talks and never backs its it up, can’t handle the pressure, dirty player, and drop balls.” Those are the label words that Seahawks tight end Stevens has put himself in position to be called. Remember it was Stevens who was talking it up days before the Superbowl XL with Steelers Linebacker Jerry Porter. Stevens had three big dropped balls in Superbowl XL. If Stevens catches those balls in the Superbowl, the Hawks would have been in great position to win the big game. Instead, the Seahawks lose Superbowl XL 21-10. Stevens had a break-out year in 2005 leading up to the Superbowl, with 45 receptions for 554 yards and 5 touchdowns. Before his break out year in 2005, Stevens first three years in the NFL where a disappointment, including a 6 catch for 72 yards in the whole 2003 season [played all 16 games]. Stevens was a first round [28th overall] pick by the Seahawks in 2002 draft. Jerramy Stevens needs not too talk or taunt, and let his game do all the talking for him! Talking, and dropping is a bad combo when it comes to the NFL.

“If Stevens continues to talk and drop, and get 15 yard penalties, not only will Stevens be with a different team, he will soon also be finding himself watching games during the football season on Sundays in his cabin up at Lake Stevens, and listing to music like Cat Stevens!”

Chiefs offense rain dance on Seahawks defense!

Where did the Seahawks good defense go!
  1. No pressure on the Quarterback;
  2. No stopping the run, and;
  3. No stopping the pass

..........sets-up disaster!

Seattle's defense against K.C. was garbage! K.C. quarterback [Damon Huard] was basically playing on one leg[bad groin]. Seattle defense did not take advantage of Huard's bad groin. Instead the Seahawks let running -back Larry Johnson, and oid fossil wide-out Eddie Kennison have career days against them. Seattle's non-effort tackeling [rapping-up] was as bad as Mili Vanilis singing career. Head Coach Mike Holmgren may have to make a move at the corner-back possition? Marcus Tru-Burnt is getting beat every week! This week Tru-Burnt got beat by a old tired wide-out on Kansas City Eddie Kennison for [6] catches and [134yds].

The Seahawks run defense allowed Kanasas City running-back Larry Johnson to do whatever he wanted [39-155yds]. 155yds by Johnson kept the clock,and chains moving for Kansas City. Seahawks defensive front four put no pressure on the one- legged Damon Huard. It was unfortunate because Seattle's Quarterback Seneca Wallace great starting debut [3 touchdown passes] got overcasted by a Seahawks lack of effort on defense. You knew Wallace was not going be perfect. Wallace had some bad throws [2 int], but you would expect that from a player making their first career start.

Seattle's running game has to improve! Running -backs Morris and Strong have to, [1] pass block better, [2] catch the ball when its thrown to them, and at least get 3 yards a pop when they get a carry. 2nd and 7 looks alot better than 2nd and 11, or 3rd and 15.

Seattle's offensive line was a little better, but still there having problems with [false starts]. Simms should start against the Raiders at left guard. Chris Spencer is still having problems at the left guard position. Guard by committee will not work in this system with Hasselback out for at least two more weeks, and Alexander for at least one more week. Seahawks' offense proved against the Chiefs that they can still move the football down the field and score even without there dynamic dueo [Hasselback and Alexander]. Seattle's offensive line will have their hands full this Monday night with the Oakland Raiders coming to town. Pass protection on quarterback Seneca Wallace will be key against the Raiders. Wallace will be Seattle's best running back on the field. Wallace has to tuck the ball and run when there is nobody open to throw too.

Seattle's defense cannot let the Raiders Quarterback Andrew Walters have any kind of comfort zone. Raiders wide-outs Randy Moss, and now activated Jerry Porter will be licking there chops watching film on the Seahawks secondary. Raiders running-backs Lamont Jordan, and Justin Fargus have to be stopped! The Oakland Raiders have a little swagger after beating the Steelers. If the Seahawks defense plays like they did against Kansas City, there will be a lot of players on the Oakland Raiders offense that are going to have season highs.

Keys to Raiders Game:
  1. Pressure[Windstrom, Fisher, Benard]
  2. Stop the run,
  3. Wallace quick decsion making,
  4. Tru- not getting burnt,
  5. Stay away from alot of third and longs on offense.

Seahawks need to send the Oakland Raiders and the Black Hole back to the Eastbay with a 12th man Loss!
